Do low carb diets actually work? These diets set out to reduce the amount of carbohydrates taken in by the body in the belief that too many carbs make a person over-weight.We find carbs in all sorts of food and thus the idea of a low carb diet can be appealing as way to lose weight fast. But not all carbs are created equal!
It is easy to over eat on refined carbohydrates, because these tend to be high calorie sources. If you can reduce the refined carbs in one’s diet, it’ll reduce the number of calories over consumed and yes, you will lose weight as these foods will turn to sugar in your body quicker and in very basic terms, can be laid down as fat.
Like with all diets just changing or taking out things like carbs won’t solve the problem alone. If you do all these things you will lose weight
Reduce Calories from refined foods
Drink more water
Exercise
Studies indicate that only one in three to one in four succeed.
Each person is different so low carb diets will not work for everyone, but can help with reducing calories. But reducing the bad carbohydrates is a healthy option for everyone.
If you limit or cut out anything made with sugar and wheat flour or refined flour for a week you should see a change. For a more practical solution you should just follow a professional diet plan that lays down what research shows and what you can and cannot eat at certain times. C Elias
